Has the obvious benefit of being able to ski the Kitzbuhel ski area without having to pay the Kitzbuhel prices. Small friendly resort, has plenty of everything you need to enjoy a weeks skiing. Added bonus of now having a link up the valley across to Westendorf giving it a much greater variety of runs for all standard of skier. Try the nightskiing on a Thursday/Friday night. Awesome. Had the fortunate position of skiing on the Gaisberg over the New Year with the American Female ski team who base themselves in Kirchberg for the Winter. It helped when we also had Bode Miller along training. All in all if its good enough for him...

This is a small, typical tyrolean village with a massive skiarena in it's backyard, as part of the Kitzbuhel skiregion (close 180km of slopes!). Compared to Kitzbuhel it is more catered to young people. It has more than it's share of pubs and apres-ski bars. You should try the onslope bar Oberkaser, and actually all other pubs you pass on your way down to Kirchberg village at the end of the day. The skiregion is diverse. Just above Kirchberg, there is a very compact bowl with some challenging reds and blacks. At the other end of the bowl you can take the 3s bahn to the rest of the skiregion; all the way to Pass Turn. There you will find a mixture of nice and easy blues and reds. Some nice cruising through forested area, then suddenly ending in exciting blacks. This marks the passage to the other side of the village. At this side you will find wide open blue slopes. This skiarena will definatelly keep you busy for a week!

Very nice place, excellent ski and logistic infrastructure! I stayed at Kirchberg hof hotel, 3 stars but has everything you need for a ski holiday: nice, clean and spacious room, dissent food. In Kirchberg there are plenty of restaurants of all choice. Kitzbuhel is 5 min drive. As for skiing, there are so many options around that 7 days is just not enough to visit all the resort has to offer, from beginner to expert level. I flew to Munich and drove to Kirchberg, 2 hours drive, very convenient. Within the Kitzbuhel- Kirchberg ski resort you don’t really need a car since bus/ shuttle transfer is very well organized, but with car it makes life easier! I would certainly recommend the place and would like myself to go there again!

Kirchberg ski resort is a quieter and less commercial alternative to the world- renowned Kitzbühel, with which it shares the same mountain. Kirchberg is a picturesque village, much smaller than Kitzbühel, with everything in easy walking distance. The village is characterised by its high quality skiing, lively nightlife and vibrant atmosphere. Kirchberg's buzzing apres-ski scene is one of the resort's major drawcards. Kirchberg is very popular with the dutch.
