Pertisau is located on the edge of Achensee lake, the largest in the Tyrol region. It is a lovely little resort and an attractive destination for families. The location is gorgeous and easily accessible, but the runs are too easy. This is the one drawback, the ski area is far too limited. The Achensee Skiregion ski pass will allow you to access a lot more terrain, but this involves extra trips in the shuttle bus or car.
