We went to Serfaus in March 2007. The village was ok aesthetically but the skiing is not that good. It's quite low and the slopes get a lot of Sun so the snow deteriorates fast. Most of the slopes are for intermediates although there's an ok amount of lift served off piste but it gets tracked out super fast. The dump we had on day 3 was tracked by day 3 and a half. If you're used to steep off piste then Pezid is the best lift served there is and it's not that steep. A 25 min hike will get you to some steep couloirs but with the action of the sun, beware of slides in the afternoon. I thought the staff at restaurants were arrogant and if you don't speak German, forget it. Very few English there (which is probably a good thing) - don't expect English speaking ski school classes. I wouldn't go there again.

Serfaus is top, er zijn maar weinig betere wintersport plaatsen! Het is autovrij, sneeuwzeker door de hoogte, de restaurants in het dorp en op de piste zijn goed en ook de apresski is prima. Ook over de pistes niets dan lof, ze zijn gevarieerd en worden goed bijgehouden. Een klein nadeel is dat het wat druk is in het grote vakanties waardoor er moet worden gewacht bij de trein...

Dit is werkelijk een fantastisch skigebied. Goed bereikbaar, weinig of geen wachttijden aan de liften (zeker niet als je start in Ladis), brede pistes die meestal goed geprepareerd zijn. Goede eetgelegenheden. Aan te bevelen: de Weisserkessl, lekker en betaalbaar, op de Ladisabfahrt, en de Sportalm in Serfaus, zeer lekker en echt grote porties tegen normale prijzen, beide met bediening. Ook lekker eten bij de Schumpalm na een prachtige Almabfahrt! De pisten zijn heel gevarieerd. De meeste rode pistes zijn niet zo moeilijk. Meestal hebben ze een stukje dat echt rood is maar bijna altijd ook een deel dat eigenlijk maar blauw is. Dit skigebied staat op mijn nummer 1. Dit skigebied is echt aan te bevelen. Zeker met kinderen!!

Thanks to the construction of new lifts, Serfaus, Fiss, and Ladis have linked their areas to create a larger joint ski area. Nevertheless, each resort has held on to its own individual characteristics. Serfaus is the only resort in Europe with a 'snow metro.' Visitors must leave their cars in the car park at the entrance of the village. As a result, when you walk in Serfaus, you can breathe fresh air and enjoy the scenic landscape. The village is known as a posh resort attracting an affluent clientele. The shared ski area is great for beginners and intermediates. Good skiers may be disappointed, but if they venture off-piste, they'll find some amazing terrain. Another advantage of this resort is the snowmaking equipment, which ensures good snow cover all the way to the bottom of the runs. And they've even remembered the children: there is a childcare centre equipped with its own restaurant.
