Les Carroz is a large friendly village with mostly self-catering accommodation and some nice little shops. There are a range of restaurants but we had to book a couple of days ahead for a party of 5. No other nightlife in evidence so party animals may like to go elsewhere but there are some nice bars, like Marlows. There is a regular ski bus to the telecabin which is ...

We really enjoyed our trip to Les Deux Alpes the second week of March. This is a very good high resort for intermediate and good skiers with fantastic snow and the largest glacier in Europe (3568m). If you like the off-piste skiing don't miss the legendary La Grave. The atmosphere in the resort is great with a real holiday feel. Our residence, Eperon 2, is in a ...

Visited Val d'Isere in a group with three other snowboarders for a week from the 28th of March 2008. We stayed at Les Verdets apartments and although these were pretty cosy, they were conveniently located for the slopes and resort center. A couple of members of our group had visited Val d'Isere before and knew where the best skiing could be found. However, I have to ...

As a moderate intermediate skier all I can say is once you've skied Courchevel and the Three Valleys then you'll have been so spoiled that when your mates ask if you fancy a week in somewhere like Bulgaria "cos it's cheap" then you're going to pull a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp! Have stayed in Le Praz several times now and having come back 3 weeks ago have ...
