Just back from a week of skiing in Les Deux Alps. The skiing was great, one heavy snow fall early on set us up for a fantastic weeks skiing. The lift system is very good with virtually no queues and the pistes were well prepared and generally not crowded. The main gripe is that piste classification system is very poor, with a marked tendency to understate difficulty. ...

Chamonix is, without doubt a skiers resort with extensive piste for intermediates and advanced skiiers. We went for five days. We would have needed ten to cover the area available. Plenty of snow for our visit and the lift system was adequate during the week. A word of caution though, the slopes were quiet and more numbers would surely make for a lot of queing. A bus ...

La Chapelle d'Abondance is great. I go every single year at least once. It is quaint and picturesque with varied, quiet slopes. Snow cover is generally excellent and I feel Portes du Soleil has proven itself to have a reliable snow record. La Chapelle itself is nice and quiet, but if your favourite part of a ski holiday is the nightlife, the venues in Chatel provide ...

I've just returned from Zell Am See and what a fantastic time I had. So much snow ! Zell really is a great resort. I've always said that I'd never go to the same resort twice but for Zell I will make an exception. I stayed at the 4* Grand Hotel on the edge of the lake and I loved it ! The hotel is stunning and in a great location, the food was lovely and the staff ...

This our second visit to Arcs 1800, and just as good as the first. We had hired, privately, a self catering apartment in Bellecote, adjoining the Golf Hotel, from 18-26Jan 2008. The area had had a huge snowfall the week prior to our arrival, so was extremely well covered, and groomed. On the Tuesday there was a fairly heavy fall, with conditions that we could'nt see ...
