I have been to Lech/Oberlech for the past 3 years - and leaving again this coming February, 2008. Great snow and ambiance if not the most difficult runs! I fly into Zurich (from California); take subway to Haupbahnhof; take the train (2 hrs) to Langan am Arlberg and have a taxi waiting to drive me to Pension Sabine. GREAT small hotel right on the mountain - you ski ...

Going back to Alpe again in a few days and just had to do a bit of advertisement for this fantastic place! Been back to Alpe at least once (sometimes more) a year for the last 6 years. In my opinion it's a fantastic resort - it's got a great variety of pistes, so that both the beginners and the advanced skiers can enjoy the holiday. The village is very charming, and ...

Just returned from 5 days in Mayerhofen, the snow was excellent. Stayed in the Zillertaler Hof Hotel, excellent hotel great food and very friendly staff. The queues at the Penkenbaln lift can be busy but if you avoid 9.00- 10 am there is no problem. Once up the mountain the lift system is great as there is a lot of modern 8 man chairs that whisk you up the mountain ...

I am loathed to tell you about this hidden jewel which we visited in January 08. This place is perfect, it is easily accessible from the airport, the transfer is about 1 1/2 hours. We stayed at Kick Ski chalet Franrick were we could not have been looked after any better, the place was amazing and the staff truly wonderful. Vaujany is a small picturesque Alpine ...

My family and I have been going to Filzmoos for the last eighten years staying at the family run hotel Alpenkrone. It is a a superb holiday resort. it caters for absolute beginners to the intermediates. Although it does have a lot of runs it can be limited for the more adventurous but a quick bus ride to flachau or one of the neighbouring resorts will allow everyones ...
