We've been crashing around the Megeve pistes for about 25 years. Huge ski area with something for everyone (& expanding with La Giettaz opening up from Jaillet a couple of seasons back and rumour of a link over to Contamine from Mont Joly in the offing ...) We stay up the mountain in La Belle Etoile in Bettex. Ski to and from the hotel boot room with easy access to ...

Great place for messing around, great snow and ok food and hotels, Cervinia is great for learners and skiers that like to cruise on long slopes. Ok for intermediates and advanced but boarders will soon become bored with scooting or walking as there are huge flat areas!!! But you can go over into Zermatt (Swiss) which is great. However, I think that Cervinia is better ...

Just returned from a long weekend in Courmayeur 23rd - 26th January. Really accessible with flights to Turin and just under a 2 hour drive. Stayed at the Hotel Courmayeur very friendly, good food and about 7 minutes walk to the main gondola. Mainly red runs and good intermediates will ski it in a day or so. Also, not many long runs and resort gets busy on a Saturday. ...

Our trip to La Tania in January 2008 was our first to the Three Valleys and it may have been the superb skiing conditions, but it does make you wonder why anyone would want to go anywhere else. We stayed in a brilliant chalet (Phillipine) just up the hill from the village, courtesy of alpine-charms. La Tania itself is much smaller than nearby Courchevel and Meribel, ...

Val d'Isere and Tignes (Espace Killy) these are great resorts snow sure, good free bus service, new lifts great off piste, plus many good but expensive restaurants etc I like to get value for mine and my parties money, so here is my recommendations. Le Brasero is a good lunch stop in Tignes (Le Lavachet). It is ideal for mixed ability groups, and non-skiers to meet ...
