Stayed in Plagne 1800 w/c 12th Jan. Amazing snow - very very lucky with conditions except they don't groom every night and it got really bumpy if you stayed away from the pistes that the ESF didn't use. Quiet resort with one good pub La Mine. Crystal Chalet Nicole enabled you to ski from the door in amazing conditions we were lucky to experience, fairly expensive on ...

There is just lots and lots of skiing for mixed abilities and something to suit everybody and that's without the rest of the 3 Valleys. We had terriffic conditions all week with good snow from the week before and sunny skies for 5 of the 6 days and one day of flattish light to push us a little bit: without any trees it gets a little bleak in dodgy light quite quickly ...

Stayed in Valloire 2nd week of Jan 2008. Booked self-catering apartment through resort website/local booking office. Very good service and very reasonable prices. Our group of intermediates/beginners were really pleased with the resort. It was perfect for us as plenty of long scenic blues and greens, plus wide open reds and virtually no wait for the lifts, all of ...

I went with a party of twelve who were a mix of abilities. Fortunately we had loads of new snow so the slopes were in excellent condition. The town is small but has everything you need. Don't go if you are looking for loud music and street parties but the pubs are good and restaurants are reasonable for price and all seem to have extensive menus. From what I could ...

Just back from a week in La Thuile. Nice village, good selection of restaurants and bars. The nightlife is quieter than some resorts, but I went with a large group so we had fun anyway. Good selection of slopes for beginners to advanced. Black no 3 definately worth a try (73% gradient).! woohoo! You can also nip over the French side to La Rossiere. Skiing is nice ...
