My family and I have been staying and skiing in Tignes for the past 4 years and in comparison to other European resorts that we have experienced, you will find the best snow conditions in this resort. The architecture is definitely lacking but the convenience of the free bus link and easy access to the pistes makes up for the lack of traditional alpine charm. I meet ...

Remember why you go skiing...not to look at buildings! If you want brilliant terrain, guaranteed snow from November 'till May and a good, reliable lift network with well maintained pistes without having to fly halfway round the world, then VT is the place. We have been twice per year since 2000. Good, English speaking ski schools. Good range of accommodation at all ...

Having just returned from a week's fantastic skiing at Samnaun / Ischgl, I'd just like to say what a brilliant ski area it is. A brand new Fimbabahn up from the town, no queues at all and great snow accompanied by 6 days of sun-filled skiing. Enough piste and off-piste to satisfy anyone, and stunning views from the new Pardorama restaurant and Trida Sattel. My only ...

My wife and I are going back to Les Menuires for the third time this coming season. There is fantastic skiing available here for all levels. Reasonably competent beginers or early intermediates should also find it fairly easy to ski to either Meribel or Val Thorens too. I would suggest that you need to be a fairly competent skier (and a fit one!) if you are intending ...

Just back from 4 days skiing in Zermatt with a group of 7 mixed ability skiers and boarders - we had a great time. The conditions for the time of year where outstanding, cold sunny days (very very cold at the top of the glacier) and lots of snow. The ski area is huge and it takes a long time to ski it all, but the lifts make getting between the three ski areas easy. ...
