One of the world’s largest ski resorts and one of the handful worldwide that regularly clocks up more than two million winter visits, La Plagne got larger still in 2003-4 when the spectacular Vanoise Express double decker, 200 person tram linked it to Lesa Arcs across the valley. This was the culmination of a dream decades old and created the Paradiski ski area ...

In Ellmau you will reach the top quickly and comfortably with a funicular train "hartkaiserbahn" in the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental without question. Theoretically you can sweep off to an alpine ski hut, a nice umbrella bar or a cosy mountain tavern every 3.57 kilometres. And since everyone knows that apré ski is part and parcel of a good day on the piste, you ...

We stayed in Hotel Crystal in Obergurgl. The hotel was lovely and the food was stunning. Staff were all very friendly, although the barman is a bit odd. The snow was good and facilities are great for newbies and intermediates, perhaps a bit limited for very serious skiers and boarders. Nightlife is non-existant. Bring all you need with you as the shops all seem to be ...

I have been going to Courchevel for several years with a fantastic company based in Le Praz (I wont tell you their name as the company is only small and I want to be able to book next year) who provide the best instruction I have ever received (I been skiing for 20 years). The skiing in Courchevel is superb, and never boring; catering for all abilities and ...

Superb choice of the diffrent types of runs are the best , from on your bum green to 'what am I doing going down the black run?!' If you need to learn to ski as the first time on snow the bums were raw from the greens so a nice man sorted us out and taught us a few things, so the blues were do-able. It cost though because we did not pre book, 80 Euro for two hour ...
