We visited St Gervais in March 2008. Whilst we had a good time (stayed in apartments near the telecabine) the snow conditions were very poor and we will think again before returning to a low resort. Our timing was bad, but the slopes were not varied enough for our intermediate abilities. This would no doubt be a good resort for families (snow permitting) as it is ...

Chamonix about a dozen times over the past six years, mainly because it is an awesome place. You cannot help but be won over by the scenery, working town atmosphere and many impressive traditional style buildings and architecture in the town centre and surrounding areas. Regarding the shops - there is a real variety from top designer outlets to local ski/snowboarding ...

I moved to Wengen several years ago to work and have to say having skied just about everywhere in the Alps before settleing here that it has something for everyone. You have a unique beginner area in the center of the village which only a few other resorts in the Alps have. You have easy access from Wengen to the ski slopes either by the cable car that runs every 8 ...

Have been heading to La Plagne now for a number of years and it seems to get better each year. Always great skiing and snow conditions. There is good early snow at the moment! La Plagne beats many of the other high priced resorts across the planet. When you are looking for typical Dutch hospitality go to the Dutch bar: après-skibar PlanJA.nl in La Plagne centre. ...

Sella Ronda is something that you don't want to miss. Simply unbelievable and irresistible. I did it both ways 2 days in a row and i already miss it. Ski schools were great and most of the teachers speak english fluently. The lift system was great, so was the food in the mountain huts. In general a great place, highly recommended. ...
