The facilities at Saalbach are excellent and the local people friendly and very helpful. The infrastructure of the resort was superb and the skiing first class. The ski school instructors all spoke good English and catered for all levels. Some of the slopes were a little challenging but there is plenty for all in the area. Due to the layout of the ski lifts one could ...

I have visited here many times and at different stages of the season. As a pre-Christmas destination, it is hard to beat being so high snow sure. but can suffer drifting and bare patches of ice due to the exposed nature of the resort. I been before Christmas twice and have managed to ski all four valleys on both occasions - empty runs, no queues - what a treat. The ...

Great little friendly resort for families with easy access to the 3 Valleys. Stayed in a nice slope-side chalet operated by Snowline in third week of February - great weather, great skiing, great food, great chalet hosts and co guests. Would highly recommend this resort to skiers who don't want to (or no longer have the energy) spend all night in night clubs and ...

This was just the best ski resort I have been to for a ridiculously long time! The snow was just amazing and it complemented the magnificent runs, that in some cases just seemed to go on forever; 20km run, say no more! The Sellaronda was again just the most exciting series of ski runs I have done since leaving Canada! Brilliant days on the slopes, literally 9-4, and ...

Visited Val Thorens in mid April 2008 and was very impressed. It was a great season and (as I understand it) the snow was exceptional for the time of year. The skiing is extensive even on the local pass, and there is something to suit all levels. If the weather draws in it is a bit wild (we had 30cm of snow in as many hours) and lifts do close, but it is the price of ...
