We had an excellent holiday over christmas 2006. The resort had great snow and plenty of snow making going on overnite all week. I am an expert skier and expected it to be a little boring but some of the runs on the glacier are fun and the paradiso black is a truly amazing run, wide, steep and well kept. As for the weather it is worth pointing out that it gets very ...

Vriendelijke sfeer.

Good skiing, low key apres-ski, cheap B&Bs, friendly locals, very good ski bus links in valley, lots of blues and reds, few black runs, over 200k piste. We visited Bad Hofgastein in Feb 07, a very poor year for snow all round. The valley is split into 4 main regions, two of which are: Dorfgastien/Grobtarl: Nice, usually quiet, tree lined, quite runs, good restaurants ...

We as a family have been to Are in Sweden for the last two years and we have found it to be an excellent alternative to Austria and France. The slopes at all of the four areas are absolutely superb, well suited to beginners and good intermediates. The scenery is breathtaking even though your at a low altitude. The Swedish people are the friendliest people we have ...

I had a great time in Filzmoos. This year it struggled with the lack of snow but to be honest the conditions were still good and my last Saturday there was fantastic with a beautiful day and hardly anyone on the slopes! It is a small village with lots of charm and something for everyone. The resort runs are a little limited and mainly suit beginners but the two final ...
