Mallnitz is een klein rustig en hoog gelegen wintersportplaatsje. zelfs in de hoogseizoen is het niet overdreven druk. gemoedelijke oostenrijkse sfeer. afdalingen niet echt voor beginners, meeste afdalingen zijn rood. zwarte piste moet je nemen als je helemaal naar beneden wilt en die is tamelijk zwaar. op zoek naar uitgebreide apres-ski? dan moet je hier niet zijn. ...

We went to Obertauern from 13-20th Jan 07. We stayed in the Rigele Roy. which was very comfortable and good value. I loved the indoor-outdoor pool. It's true what everyone else has says about the piste map (appalling) but the runs are great. Our group was 1 total beginner, 2 early intermediates and 1 advanced intermediate. We have ben to Schladming for the lat 4 yrs and find it very good with an all round package of facilities. it has 100% snow making equipment and even this yr (07) they are offering well prepared pistes. If you are looking for back country, off piste look elsewhere. ...
