Savognin is een mooi traditioneel zwitsers dorp met vriendelijke mensen. Het skigebied is redelijk groot, voor gevorderden zijn er voldoende pistes. Voor beginners is er een goede oefenweide maar zijn er weinig blauwe pistes. Weinig apres-skigelegenheden. Er zijn veel mooie wandelroutes en rodelpaden. Kortom een uitstekende bestemming voor gezinnen! ...

We stayed in the most friendliest hotel ever, run by husband (chef) and wife team namely Hotel Bergzeit. The hotel is less than 100m from the new Gondola to the ski slopes. Excellent facilities for children at the top of the cable car with a large secure & well manned childrens park. Runs are very limited, but the black "Tomba" is challenging and the red back to the town is fun. Pistes are tree lined and fully covered by snow machines. Most of the runs were suitable for intermediate skiers. Very few runs for advanced skiers, and the choice for beginners got a bit repetitive after a few days. Needs more lifts as there were frequently long queues especially on the gondola and the more popular button lifts - but I am told that there are big plans to upgrade the system in future.
