The big 3S lift beside being spectacular has made a huge difference to Kitzbuhel. It is now possible to ski the whole area without having to use taxis and buses. When the snow is good it is a large area with plenty of varied terrain to suit all standards of skiing. Have spent a season and numerous weeks holidays in la clusaz over the last few years - stunning scenery fantastic and relatively undiscovered off-piste - very quiet skiing although feb half-terms definately to be avoided. skiing looks relatively limited on paper but links to nearby grand bornand and easy driving access to chamonix/megeve etc means you wont be bored. ...

Currently doing a season in Morzine. Fantastic all-round resort. Has to be said if you want to ski hard and fast for the week, Avoriaz is by far the better location.
